The Vinquando emblem: a golden V shaped like a wine glass, with red wine in the bowl and a clock face above it.

Vinquando

Every bottle has its moment.

You already chose the wine. Vinquando tells you how to serve it.

Photograph the label of a bottle you have at home — and see when to open it, how long to decant it, how cool to serve it and in which glass.

How it works

Scan. Prepare. Pour.

  1. Scan

Photograph the front label. Vinquando reads it on your iPhone and looks for the wine and vintage in its built-in library — you can check both before you go on. Not in the library? Choose the style, and you still get a guide.

  2. Prepare

Open it now or let it wait, whether to decant and for how long, at what temperature to serve and in which glass — and where the wine stands in its drinking window.

  3. Pour

A timer for the decanter and a reminder for each step keep the evening on track. Then pour, and enjoy.

The evening plan

Your evening, planned backwards

Tell Vinquando when you want to pour and where the bottle is now — in the cellar, in the fridge or in the room. It counts back from the pouring time: when the bottle comes out, when to open and decant, when to chill.

Plan up to seven days ahead. For an older bottle with sediment, the plan starts the day before: stand it upright. If you like, your iPhone reminds you of every step.

Example: a young Bordeaux from the cellar, to pour at 19:00
  1. Open and decant
  2. Decanter into the fridge for 15 minutesIn the room, the wine warms up in the decanter.
  3. Pour at about 17 °C (63 °F)

An example, not a rule. The times depend on the wine, its age, the bottle size and where it was kept.
